Roman Solé-Pomies is a postdoctoral researcher studying the anticipation of futures in debates about mining and energy infrastructures, more specifically the notion of critical mineral resources in transition scenarios, within the programme et équipement prioritaire de recherche “Sous-sol bien commun” (“The Underground as a common good”).

Previously, their PhD analyzed road management policies in small local governments in mainland France. More generally, their research interest include infrastructure maintenance and the underlying conceptions of the environment.
