Title of the post-doctoral project: Designing ‘ground truths’ in asset management firms: An inquiry into algorithmic finance

Florian Jaton is a postdoctoral fellow at the CSI. His research is supported by an Early Postdoc.Mobility grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation.

His postdoctoral project inquires into the development and use of computerized methods of calculation – often called “algorithms” – that contribute to investment decisions. By following data analysts working in European financial institutions, this project aims to better understand algorithmic finance and its corollaries.
